Actress Ayesha Takia Defends Husband in Goa Controversy

Actress Ayesha Takia, who won hearts with her role in Salman Khan's film Wanted, is back in the news after a long hiatus. This time, however, she is not in the spotlight for a film or any new projects. Instead, Ayesha, who has distanced herself from Bollywood, is making headlines for defending her husband, Farhan Azmi, amidst a legal controversy.

Ayesha's Support for Her Husband

Ayesha has been very active on social media lately, sharing her views on the ongoing issue involving her husband. Farhan Azmi, the son of Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi, was recently detained by the Goa Police after being accused of reckless driving and causing a disturbance in Candolim, North Goa. In response to these allegations, Ayesha has taken to Instagram to assert her husband's innocence and to shed light on the events from her perspective.

Ayesha posted multiple Instagram stories where she passionately defended Farhan. She also revealed that she had personally called the police during the incident, claiming that both her husband and their son were threatened and mentally harassed by a group of individuals. She went on to assert that their lives were in danger at the time.

The Other Side of the Story

In one of her Instagram posts, Ayesha shared a video, urging her followers to "look at these goons" and stop blaming her innocent husband and their 11-year-old child. She described how her son was verbally abused and provoked by a group of rowdy women. Ayesha further stated that Farhan had already been seated in a police car when the altercation occurred, and expressed her outrage at the actions of these women.

In another post, Ayesha highlighted the behavior of the police officers in the video, emphasizing how they were being harassed by the group. She also shared a clip showing how one woman attempted to take a bag containing Farhan’s licensed weapon, which had not been taken out of the bag.

She captioned the video: "The truth is like a lion. You do not have to defend it. Let it loose, it can defend itself."

Legal Developments

The Goa Police had confirmed that a case was filed against Farhan Azmi, Zion Fernandes, Joseph Fernandes, Shaum, and others under Section 194 of the Indian Penal Code. PSI Paresh Sinari of Calangute police station is currently investigating the matter.

Ayesha's Journey from Bollywood to Family Life

Ayesha Takia's career in Bollywood began in 2004 with the action thriller Tarzan: The Wonder Car. She quickly became famous for her innocent charm and went on to star in films like Socha Na Tha, Salaam-e-Ishq, Wanted, Pathshala, and Shaadi No. 1. After marrying her boyfriend, Farhan Azmi, in 2009, Ayesha stepped away from the industry in 2011 to focus on family life.
