Counting of MLC elections continuing in Telugu states.
Counting of MLC election votes has begun in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The process involves the counting of six MLC seats with results for Teacher seats expected by evening and Graduate seats taking 2-3 more days. Strong security measures are in place at the counting centers.

Hyderabad: The counting of votes for MLC elections has begun in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The process started at 8 AM, with officials opening the strong rooms in the presence of candidates and agents. Initially, the ballot papers are being bundled, a process expected to continue until around 12 PM. The actual counting will begin afterward, according to the authorities. The results for the Teacher MLC seats will be announced by evening. However, the results for the Graduate MLC seats may take 2 to 3 more days to be declared. Strong security measures have been implemented around the counting centers.
The MLC elections for six seats were held on February 27 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In Andhra Pradesh, elections were held for two Graduate and one Teacher MLC seat, while in Telangana, elections were held for two Teacher and one Graduate MLC seat. A total of 70 candidates contested for three MLC seats in Andhra Pradesh, and 90 candidates contested for three seats in Telangana. The counting for these six MLC seats is happening today. The candidate who receives more than 50% of the valid votes will be declared the winner.
Counting centers have been set up in various locations:
- In Karimnagar, the counting for the Karimnagar-Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduate constituency and the Teacher constituency is being held at the Ambedkar Indoor Stadium.
- For the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teacher constituency, the counting is taking place at a warehouse in Nalgonda.
- The Northern Andhra Teacher constituency vote counting is happening at Andhra University in Visakhapatnam.
- The West Godavari-East Godavari Graduate constituency counting is being held at Vatluru CRR Engineering College in Eluru.
- The Krishna-Guntur Graduate constituency counting is ongoing at AC College in Guntur.
