Maharashtra: It's sad that politics has reached this level... Dhananjay Munde speaks on the allegations.

Senior NCP leader Dhananjay Munde said that he has been living with his mother and other family members in their ancestral village, Nathara, at a farmhouse for the past few months, because his house in Parli Vaijnath city needs renovation. He mentioned that those who made allegations had initially said that he stays at a farmhouse, but then they changed their statement, claiming that only his mother stays there.

Dhananjay Munde, a Maharashtra government minister and senior NCP leader, had recently resigned from his ministerial position. His close associate, Walmik Karad, has been accused in the murder case of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. Since then, pressure increased on Munde to resign. Various allegations have been leveled against him. Now, Munde has come forward with a statement, claiming that false accusations are being made against him.

Munde explained that he has been staying with his mother and other family members at their farmhouse in Nathara, as his house in Parli Vaijnath city is under renovation. He stated that this is known to everyone. He added that the people who accused him initially said that he lived at a farmhouse, but then claimed that only his mother stayed there, which he called a false accusation.

"Some people are making false accusations about my family," Munde added. He also said that everyone knows that his cousin stands firmly by him in every decision, but even that has been subjected to false accusations. He stated that for the past few months, false allegations have been continuously made against him, and now it seems there’s nothing left for them to accuse him of. He expressed that it is disturbing that some people are resorting to such false accusations against his family as part of dirty politics.

"It’s sad that politics has reached this level," Munde continued. He explained that recently, false allegations and dramatic narratives have been scripted against him in political and social life. His illness and health have been mocked, and doubts have been cast about him. He said he had endured all of that, but if someone dares to make false accusations about his mother, it becomes impossible for him to remain silent and accept it. He concluded by stating that it is unfortunate that politics has stooped to this level.
