Hyderabad: Saint Jude India ChildCare Centres (Saint Jude's India) has launched a new facility in Hyderabad. Expanding its goal of providing a safe, clean, and accessible space for children undergoing cancer treatment, the newly inaugurated Axis Bank Centre offers essential services such as clean accommodation, transportation, education, counseling, and comprehensive care to give each child the best chance to overcome cancer.

This center provides accommodation for 26 families, offering them free, clean housing and full support. The center has four units specifically designed to accommodate children undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) treatments. Children receiving treatment at hospitals like MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Centre, Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital, Rainbow Children’s Hospital, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Little Star Children’s Hospital, and NIMS Hospital can use the center’s facilities. Many of these families come from states such as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

"Saint Jude's is a lifeline for impoverished families traveling from rural areas to larger cities for cancer treatment, offering hope and comprehensive care. At Saint Jude’s, children undergoing cancer treatment experience a real 'family atmosphere.' These centers bridge the gap between hospital care and the additional support children need, enabling them to fight cancer more effectively. Our current center in Hyderabad has been successful in doing this, and now, this new center will help reach and support even more children," said Anil Nair, CEO of Saint Jude's India, at the launch event.
