Amaravati: In Chittoor district's Gangadhara Nellore, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the distribution of pensions. He personally visited the houses of beneficiaries in J.D. Nellore and distributed pensions, engaging with them to understand their issues. One woman beneficiary mentioned having two daughters, and Chandrababu instructed the officials to deposit ₹2 lakh in fixed deposits for each of them. He assured her that the government would grant a house to her family. Later, he addressed the villagers through a public meeting.
Past Election Results as Proof
"After five years, the fear has disappeared in AP, and everywhere you look, people are smiling. The public looks very free. If the right decisions are made at the right time, the people will bless you. The results of the past elections are proof of this. The pension that was ₹200 has been increased to ₹2,000, and the YSRCP government raised it to ₹3,000 after making people cry. With love and sincerity towards the people, we raised the pension to ₹4,000. Additionally, from April, we have cleared the dues. For the disabled, pensions have been increased from ₹500 to ₹6,000, providing them with financial security. The AP government is the only one that gives ₹6,000 to 8 lakh people per month," said CM Chandrababu.
Chandrababu also mentioned that they would bring internet to every home soon. He criticized the YSRCP government for destroying Andhra Pradesh and pointed out that their leaders had looted the state for five years. He compared the state of roads under the YSRCP regime and highlighted that since coming to power, they had built nearly 80 roads, whereas, in the past, the roads were full of potholes. CM Chandrababu also reflected on the introduction of DWACRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) and how women, who were once laughed at for their involvement, are now educating their children thanks to these self-help groups. He urged the public to conserve water.
